Preconditions
Fan is ON from prior activation and hysteresis parameters are configured in control settings.
Procedure
Drive temperature down in small decrements through the hysteresis band and below the OFF threshold. Record command outputs for each control cycle and check for oscillation near boundaries.
Expected Result
Fan remains stable while inside hysteresis band and transitions OFF only when OFF threshold criteria are met. No ON OFF chatter is observed.
